Ultimate Wind & Rain Layers

For the ultimate protection in harsh weather conditions, 7L's highly durable 3-layer hard shell is waterproof, windproof and highly breathable.

With our partners, Schoeller Textiles comes some of the best fabrics and technical finishes in the world!

Within the construction of the jacket comprises Schoeller's c_change® membrane technology which ensures the optimum body climate. When the wearers body temperature increases the molecular structure of the fabrics open. This allows excess heat and moisture to escape to the outside air, offering high breathability whilst carrying away moisture and excessive heat. In the cold, or at times of low activity the c_change® fabric membrane remains closed keeping the heat close to the body. This helps to minimise any shivering or chilling after intense activity.

Side seams, constructed with YKK two-way reverse coil zips for added ventilation and ease of entry and exit. Discreet centre back neck compartment with zip to store hood in changing weather temperatures. Fully adjustable hood and hem with matte finished stoppers and textured drawcords for added friction in challenging weather conditions. Centre back compartment with YKK reverse coil two-way zip enabling the wearer to fully pack away the shell jacket and wear as a pack bag, finished with a durable webbing strap and a Fidlock magnetic buckle, from Germany, for quick application and take off across multiple terrains.

A highly advanced textile finish has also been applied to the fabrics called 3XDRY®. This is a textile finishing technology that combines two functions into one textile. On the outside the textile is water and dirt repellent and on the inside, perspiration is quickly absorbed and transported away from the body. 3XDRY® technology ensures moisture is distributed over the textiles surface and evaporates rapidly and as a result 3XDRY® dries much faster in comparison to conventional textiles. Additionally moisture evaporates close to skin to assist the natural cooling process of the body.

To further protect the wearer the jacket is also finished with coldblack®. In comparison to light colors, dark colors absorb more heat in direct sunlight. The heat absorption can be reduced to a minimum with coldblack®, the UVA- and UVB-protection textile finish from Schoeller Technologies. coldblack® reduces heat build-up and provides reliable protection from the sun’s rays and noticeably improving the wearer's comfort level. YKK reverse-coil zips with spring-loaded, PU moulded zip pullers.

All of Schoeller's fabric and manufacturing facilities have passed the Bluesign screening and have implemented the bluesign standard, which verifies that the manufacturing processes are carefully managed and equipped with the best available environmental controls. Bluesign technologies has developed an independent and rigorous standard for the safety and environmental performance in making textile products.
